How to control anger?


You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger as anger adversely affects our body. Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned, you are the most sufferer of your own anger as this first passes through you.

People won't have time for you if you are always angry or complaining. To be angry is to revenge the faults of others on ourselves as it is harming us.
When angry count to ten before you speak. If very angry, count to one hundred or delay.

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured so it harms you more. For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind. We lose our understanding during anger as anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding.

Anger dwells only in the bosom of fools, so if you are smart then never get angry even at the thought level, because anger at the thought level has the same effects of words & action, so our thoughts should be anger lessIn times of great stress or adversity, it's always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and your energy into something positive. Always remember whatever is begun in anger ends in shame.

On physical level you may try these techniques-
Think before you speak
Engage in physical activity
Get enough sleep at night
Take a break as soon as you recognize that you're angry
Breathe deeply
Visualize a "happy place."
Practice positive self-talk

Try to see some humor in what angered you.
