Secrets of success in life

Your True Dreams and Goals - The starting point of all achievement is desire. You don't have to be a genius or a visionary or even a college graduate to be successful. You just need a framework and a dream. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.

Take Action- Action is the foundation key to all success. Success is simple. Do what's right, the right way, at the right time. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day. Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, and live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.
Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort.

Prioritize your tasks- Focus on completing the tasks which will benefit you the most in the long run. Learn to identify the difference between “high-value” tasks (that which will benefit you the most in the long term) versus “low-value” tasks (that which may be easier, but will offer much fewer benefits)

Embrace failure- Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom. Success is achieved and maintained by those who try and keep trying.

Be Persistent and Work Hard- The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself. Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally. Desire is the key to motivation, but its determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.

Be Honest and Dependable- Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value. Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it. When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece. The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.

Benefits of forgiveness and letting go

WHY FORGIVE?- While forgiving anybody one thing you should always keep in your mind that it is for your benefit only not for anybody else. It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody. To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you. Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past, and is therefore the means for correcting our misperceptions.

FORGIVENESS FOR LOVE- Forgiveness is not to give the other person peace. Forgiveness is for you. Take that opportunity. One of the secrets of a long and fruitful life is to forgive everybody everything every night before you go to bed. When you forgive, you in no way change the past - but you sure do change the future. We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.

IMPORTANCE -All major religious traditions carry basically the same message that is love, compassion and forgiveness the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives. Forgiveness is the final form of love. Forgiveness says you are given another chance to make a new beginning. Forgiveness means letting go of the past. As famous quote says “Always forgive your enemies - nothing annoys them so much.” Mahatma Gandhi also quoted-“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

POWERFUL RESOURCE-Forgive, forget. Bear with the faults of others as you would have them bear with yours. Never forget the three powerful resources you always have available to you: love, prayer, and forgiveness. Acceptance and tolerance and forgiveness, those are life-altering lessons. Forgiveness is the economy of the heart... forgiveness saves the expense of anger, the cost of hatred, the waste of spirits.

BENEFITS- Letting go of grudges and bitterness can make way for happiness, health and peace. Forgiveness can lead to:

  • Healthier relationships
  • Greater spiritual and psychological well-being
  • Less anxiety, stress and hostility
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Fewer symptoms of depression
  • Stronger immune system
  • Improved heart health
  • Higher self-esteem

5 techniques to motivate yourself

Getting started-
The secret of getting ahead is getting started. What you do today can improve all your tomorrows. The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do. Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.

Be gentle with yourself. –

Stop comparing the accomplishments in your life with those of your neighbor. A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others. In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can. Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. If you can dream it, you can do it. Arrive at Work in a Good Mood.

Celebrate the little wins, no matter how small.
Little wins may seem like just that--little. Celebrating these wins can help to create positive habits. Slashing your aggressive to-do list in half will allow room for success. Knowing that it's realistic for you to complete the list is empowering.

Take a break--you deserve it.-

The only way we can perform at an optimal level is create time for rest. The moment you know you can't take any time off is usually when you need it most. So take that long delayed vacation, and return to your business with renewed enthusiasm.
Don’t give up-
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Things do not happen. Things are made to happen. We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated.

5 ways to deal with negative emotions

Smile. There is something absolutely magical about a smile. Try this for yourself – next time you are feeling blue, or red-hot with anger, SMILE. That’s all. Just force a smile onto your face. Did you know it’s physiologically impossible to have bad feelings if you are smiling? I realize it sounds a bit silly but seriously, try it. It really works. If you wake up sad, stressed or angry, smile at yourself in the mirror first thing, in the morning. Just stand there and smile at yourself. Make yourself do it even if you don’t want to. Hold that smile until it’s genuine. Hold that smile until… You know what will happen? You’re going to burst out laughing whether you want to or not! ANY time you feel bad, just smile. A smile that is genuine lights you up. It’s a physical action so in harmony with Love that it can’t help but make you feel better.

Learn to respond instead of react Take a moment to pause and consider what just happened instead of just instantly reacting to new information or a new situation. By taking a few seconds to pause and consider, you can calm yourself briefly and you will be likely to produce a better response.

Focus on what you can control Once you have been presented with a stressful or emotional situation, try to identify what you can and can't control. If something is done, you can't change it. You can only determine what to do now. You can control your response, and to a certain degree, you can likely control what happens next. By focusing on what you can control, you are empowering yourself. By dwelling on things you can't control, you dis empower yourself and make yourself more frustrated and more stressed.

Do what you love Do what you love. When you’re immersed in some activity you’re passionate about, and you’re really focused on what you’re doing, you can’t feel bad. You just can’t. Doing what you love uplifts you in so many ways! Do it, and do it often. You’ll be generally happier and more able to cope with life’s monkey wrenches when your life is meaningful and when you are doing what you love.

Give it a minute and a half. When a negative emotion hits you, be aware that it takes just 90 seconds for it to pass through your system. From the time your limb system generates the emotion to the time that chemical reaction dissipates, is a minute and a half. IF you simply feel the emotion – and DO NOT get involved in the thought that generated it by repeating “I feel (angry, sad, etc.)” - it will pass and you’ll regain your equilibrium. Don’t say “I AM (angry, sad, etc.).” You are not your emotions! Try that, next time you have a sad or upsetting thought. Repeat to yourself how you are feeling but don’t allow yourself to stray from that focus. Don’t think about what made you upset.

Effect of negative thoughts on health

The mind-body connection is much stronger than we think, as our thoughts and emotions stimulate the production of certain chemicals that influence our physical and emotional health. For example, serotonin and dopamine are two chemicals that our brain releases when we’re experiencing happiness or euphoria. A similar process occurs with negative emotions, but instead of making the body well, they cause pain and other ailments that prevent us from feeling healthy.

Thinking affects health- Have you ever thought about how the way you think might affect your health and body? We’re often not aware of the effects that our thoughts can have on our bodies and health. We sometimes get carried away by stress, tension, anxiety, depression, haste and other negative feelings without even considering that it can affect us emotionally and physically, lowering our quality of life.

Make a change in your life -When negative thoughts and emotions try to take over our lives and health, it’s very important to take a few minutes to reflect and meditate on whether it’s really something worth spending our time and energy on. Chances are that after this exercise, instead of complaining and letting your emotions control you, you’ll want to make a change in your life and will seek out solutions so that negativity doesn’t rob you of your quality of life.

It’s been scientifically proven that positivism and good emotions, such as joy and happiness, release hormones responsible for strengthening the immune system.  Similarly, it was determined that negative emotions have the opposite effect and weaken the immune system, making our bodies more prone to illness.

Sadness causes illness - When we’re experiencing a situation that makes us angry, a biochemical reaction occurs in the body that raises adrenaline levels and causes us to relive the experience again and again. Feelings of sadness can greatly influence our energy levels and motivation.  Sadness causes fatigue, excessive tiredness, and low energy.

Our emotional states can lead to physical ailments - The brain has the ability to store important and decisive information for behavior and its relationship to the body. Many experts agree that we all have the ability to see the good and the bad in any situation, as we are responsible for giving the moments in our day either a positive or negative connotation. Our emotional states can lead to physical ailments, possibly indicating that we are going through a difficult time in which negative thoughts and emotions have taken control. For example, chronic neck pain could possibly indicate an inability to see different perspectives.

Simple tricks to make your life easier

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated as we hate, compare & greed. Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking. The purpose of our lives is to be happy. The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it's all that matters. The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. If you love life, life will love you back. Life is 10 percent what you make it, and 90 percent how you take it.

Living with peace & love with good thoughts in your mind makes your life simple. The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life. Our prime purpose in this life is to help others.  And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life. It's all about quality of life and finding a happy balance between work and friends and family.

Our life is what our thoughts make it. Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts. If you love life, don't waste time, for time is what life is made up of. It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth - and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had. You're only here for a short visit. Don't hurry, don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.

The only disability in life is a bad attitude. Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, because hate in your heart will consume you too. Do not dwell in the past; do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like. Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.

"God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well. “What if you gave someone a gift, and they neglected to thank you for it - would you be likely to give them another? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer, you must truly appreciate what you already have.
